Just found this video. Drove with my youngest son over 5 hours from eastern Iowa to some town in Missouri for the eclipse. It was a great thing to witness! 😎
Rewatching in 2022, BUT I live in Greenville, SC about an hour north of where Casey was. It was a super eerie kind of dark and amazing how much light we get from even a tiny sliver of the sun. It also didn’t seem to last 8 minutes even though sunlight is supposed to take 8 minutes to get to earth…???? Maybe we are measuring the speed of light incorrectly?
this video just made me realize that casey is the only person i know that’s actually living life to the fullest, never missing out on an adventure and not caring what other people think of him. i admire that and i hope i can grow up to have that view on life too 🙂

Man watching this in person was a feeling I just can't describe the whole place just went quite, all life stood still then the light came back and with the life of the world. Man I'm getting emotional thinking about it 4 years later
