Yeah every day, great weather and there's a beach here hey do you want me to cancel my plans with my friends, so we can go grocery shopping. I mean you, don't have a meeting at three here. So unless you do it right now, i thought you'd be excited about the offer. Yeah i want to go grocery shopping.

I was just about to head out hey. No, i got ta, go grocery shopping with candace. Do you think we could do it at like three? Three thirty: instead candace get me a mask a mask. Did you get me a mask? Get these for the kids? No, i got like little vegan chocolate pots.

No, six bounty essentials only equals eight, but six scots equals 11.. Yes, but this has 83 sheets per roll, and this has 102 sheets per roll, so which one do we get this one? What is your favorite part of los angeles candace, my family huh? What is your least favorite, part of los angeles candace come on um. I think that there's no like actual sense of community everyone's, very independent in a not good way, you're like in new york you're like we're all in this together and in texas. It's like yeah, i'm texan, and here it's like everyone's got.

Their nose turned up at everyone else. It's real! It's like a real thing. That's not a snobbery! Here i don't feel like people are like yeah l.a. You know, let's all help each other out.

That's true! It's like everybody's got blinders on. They just do what they need to do and that's it i didn't know you're gon na go so deep. With this answer, i bought the kids, this trampoline off of amazon, it cost 400. So far so far i can do a backflip.

This is my side flip and i'm working on the full. I've almost got that to uh teach me some new trampolining skills. I've recruited, my friend tarzan tarzan here as a trampoline expert and he's going to teach me. What are you going to teach me? Give you something cool, you teach me something cool.

Do tarzan what um? What are you gon na teach me? So i'm gon na teach you how to jump through the trampoline through the trampoline yeah. Okay, so check it out all right, you got it. Nah candace can go pretty harsh on la i understand where she's coming from, and you know i've i've lived in a lot of places and everywhere. I've lived, has both its virtues and its failings and los angeles is no different, but you know, like i spent today, going to the supermarket, with my wife like doing mundane, errands and like playing with my kids at home, and then i went to the beach with Some friends - and you know for somebody who spent 20 years embracing the workaholic fueled energy of new york city, like where every single day was just a work day.

That's a pretty dramatic shift of priorities and i think it's a good thing and i attribute being able to do that to this place and as much as candace likes to rag on this place. There is a lot that i know she likes about it and for those other times, why are we doing shots of tequila? I have to you.

I can see that in the more affluent areas of LA. But I think (and this is just my opinion) in the poorer areas with the blue collars you DO feel a sense of community. Especially in the brown communities. Although I don’t feel it’s exclusively because of race.

You don't have to be a workaholic just because you are in NYC. Cultural life in NYC is amazing, like no other place in USA. LA is a dark hole that suck you soul into despair and loneliness. I have lived in LA for 8 years and I will never return, not even for vacation. Candice looks very stressed out and unhappy. Take care Candice.

Listen to Candace. LA is a total PITA. You both were better off in NYC for careers and friends and the kids were better off in Texas near their grandparents. Yeah, the weather in SoCal is awesome, but that's where the good ends and the rest begins. Pack it and go…

mad haven't watched Casey for so long then saw a podcast where he said he wants to leave LA, I thought it would be him pushing fir the leave in these vids but itches across like its Candice who missed their old life most. I think they're stuck in a hard position where they want space for the kids which NYC can't provide and also Candice doesn't want Casey to become lost in the hustle again.

It is a thing. I just left Southern California for the reasons Candice mentioned and the relentless heat and air pollution. Oh, and my freaking house burned down in a wildfire. Nice to visit, but pretty much sucks there. Miss your NY videos Casey.

LA is the anti-New York. It might be too different for you–I mean, no one needs the sun to shine that much and be 72 freakin' degrees every day (I grew up in Palos Verdes) There is no center. I can't imagine what it's like for people moving there. I guess if you're in Santa Monica–then that is your LA. There is a lot of different LA's.
I think you would have liked Portland, Maine (4 beautiful seasons).

Candice is right and very grounded. If we get bored we'll wander around the city and find something exciting to do or friends to meet up with. The energy in New York is unmatched, why people always say "I Love New York".

This was great and you both encapsulated so much of LA life, its positives and negative. I think even native LA people have to admit it can be awfully hollow at times. Is it the lack of greenery that wears on our soul? That parched look? Then there's that glorious weather that welcomes you outside almost every day of the year. And the beaches always beckon. How can you put a price on something like that?
I love how, even though you're obviously very wealthy, you never lose your appreciation of value. Its not being cheap. Its about rewarding good business when searching for a deal. It also shows the humility you both have retained and this allows you to appreciate what you've got all that much more if you spend less of it. Poor people often find this difficult to understand but its so important to look at so many wealthy people whose lives are disasters because they let themselves get so far out of balance. Money can distract us so easily away from the most important things in life. Manage your money well then you are the master of your money, not the other way around. You don't need fancy stuff. You need quality relationships and the pursuit of your interests and talents.

Been to SF and LA, did the pacific coast hwy drive from SF to LA, stopping at morrow bay, solvang and Monterey, preferred SF to LA (LA is a soulless, uppity, LOOK AT ME dump, but they still pale in comparison to Florida and the keys……also..the everglades were amazing

Guess I know how you feel about LA now. Every time I go there I mood the needle from this place is a creepy soulless place with vapid people to oh maybe it’s not… so much… then the traffic, the smog, the prevention, the insincerity, the materialism… dude move to Newport RI or Palma de Mallorca or Paris. Great experiences one & all.
