this is only the surface. there are a lot more rules and factors and considerations and details and stuff. an education in airline status is the first step towards attaining airline status.
i ate 7 donuts tonight while finishing this edit. 7.

the greatest advertisement for a credit card of all time. I remember when I got my first job I told myself I was going to be just like Casey Neistat. in 2022 my girlfriend and I did a lot of flying on American to get the coveted EP. I hit that last year and am currently enjoying the fruits of my labor (until feb 2024)
What will happen to my job if I fly a lot?
I wish this was still the way today. But this video was my Bible. I'm still American Airlines EP but Loyalty Points can be earned without even setting foot on a plane or even entering an airport. You an use the Credit Cards or Rocket Miles to book hotels and AAdvantage eShopping (Together with the credit cards to double) to build status. When the got rid of the EQM and started using the EQD, then eventually the Loyalty Points, it was less about actual Miles traveled and more about Dollar spent. Some of the flights purchased and flew today won't generate anywhere near as much Elite pushing power that it used to have. I learned by watching your video a decade ago how to always be in First with buying Main Cabin, but that's not working anymore as easily.
This was the video that made me pursue a career that involved travel… 4 years at platinum pro, and 2 years as executive platinum now.
This video is wayyyy out of date now. System doesn’t work like this at all anymore.
😮😮😮
I think in love you
As someone who works for a legacy carrier he is correct, you need to commit heavily to 1 airline. I've seen people travel from airport to airport to airport in 1 day. Now there are days where you won't always get these upgrades. Like the month of August, everyone is traveling so good luck unless you are like 12 million miler or something. You can bring chocolate or Starbuck gift cards to the flight attendants but they don't have the authority to upgrade you. In fact they could get fired for doing that, and no the union won't protect them from that.
I’m a United guy but I still watched this video.
terrible video – he is blocked from ever entering my search engine again!
This is what I tell folks that earn status by simply shopping on AA portals
Yeah, not really “free” or “budget friendly” then. lol😂
SO pretty much you need to spend money in order to get free upgrades which you could just get anyways by using many airlines instead of just one and comparing prices
You could've explained your whole video in one sentence–You need to be a top member of one airline.
Hey tinder svindler, never got so bored in video before.
It’s quite a BS way…
I'm not sure what I'm supposed to watch, are we watching random other people's body parts?
I’m only watching this for pleasure and because I’m a fan of Casey. But this will be helpful if I start to fly a lot(which may not happen ever)
