There are many adjectives that can be used to describe the perpetrator of a terrorist attack: monstrous, stupid, insane, dangerous, deranged, inhuman, sick, cruel, lunatic, barbaric, treacherous, etc. However, using the words 'coward' or 'cowardly' never feels appropriate for someone who is sacrificing their life for a deranged cause. Don't get me wrong; I would never hesitate to do whatever it takes to prevent someone from harming innocents. But if the person in front of me is already committing their life to perform atrocities, it would be a tactical error to consider them a coward. It's better to think of them as a treacherous monster to be slain.
I am a native New Yorker born and raised and I was in high middle school when this happened and the school annouced it on the PA system everyone was shook it was really scary . But one thing I have to say as a native New Yorker for the last 21 years is that Native New Yorkers like myself are fucking resilient Crimes and Horrific things like this happen everyday but we are so used to it .
