This part of the marathon story. This part of the marathon story is about. it's about accountability. Saturday November 5th 2022 the day before the marathon. I'm gonna come in somewhere between three hours and four hours. So imagine this is like a clock. Yellow Here this is three hours in one minute. This is my fastest marathon time ever. There's no chance I will achieve a 301. pink here represents between 301 and 310. this would require a damn Miracle to achieve this window is a major reach. This is where I expect to land tomorrow. Good job Casey Smile Three Showing up is the hard part and your time doesn't matter. But earlier this summer when I was taking my training seriously I should have been able to come close to 301 and then I just stopped like I didn't put the work in so if I don't earn a good time, it's my fault. I didn't see this coming and it completely just bought like through it. Just what's going on. Well I went big I was really trying for PR but between the Heat and my calf I just don't have it. So yeah, you're running for crossbody. Finish this race for me. and just like that my running partner my friend of 20 years a 258 marathoner in New York City Just he was done. He bailed, he left the course he was. We were pacing each other from that moment on Mile 11 I was on my own there he is a little downhill. go KC Let's Go Crazy I just crossed halfway point about 13 I'm I'm walking but I saw an eve at mile 12 and he said he was dropping out. Ah, I'm not doing good I'm not doing good I'm running again Here we go Walking through Mile 15 that will not be the last mile I walk through Mommy Time to acknowledge that pain is just weakness leaving the body and every step of getting stronger. right? right? This was my first ever marathon and this was by far the hardest race I've ever run nervous I Didn't see you for a while and since this race every other race I've done has been easier.
