Foreign, i don't know um. This is a this. Is a tech review in today's tech review, we'll be looking at the latest and greatest offering from gopro. So every year, when gopro announces their new camera their latest offering.

I asked myself one question, which is why why gopro should i spend 450 bucks on another gopro when i have my old gopro that still works, because these things never die, and now i have a cell phone that has a super wide angle lens on it. It's sort of kind of waterproof and it takes like an okay enough video image and that that existential question is kind of all i care about, and all i'm going to focus on in this review. This is a six thousand dollar camera rig. This is the new 450 dollar gopro hero9, 6000 450..

The front-facing screen gopro it's about time. The the girth is bigger, definitely like taller and fatter and wider, and it's heavier there's this like fetish, with especially like cell phones and and small cameras as well to get them as small as possible. In fact, remember when gopro launched that this, like tiny gopro, called the gopro session, and it was so small in the commercial for it, a guy had it in his mouth and you could see out of his mouth while the dentist was like working on his teeth. But you had to sacrifice everything like the the battery.

Didn't last long didn't have any buttons on it. There's no interface! I don't need to film myself at the dentist this new gopro, which is bigger. I can still attach to a helicopter blade. I can still put on my surfboard.

I can still attach my bike or my truck or whatever. I want to do it's small enough, but what you get in return for that increase in size which is negligible. Is you get like a much bigger battery? You get a proper, proper front-facing screen that lets you frame your shots and it makes it easier for vlogging and when you attach it to something you can actually see what you're shooting it's like small enough is totally good enough. I don't need them to be tiny and about gopro's biggest competitors.

They make a good product. But after using the nine for like a week and a half, you realize gopros learned a lot in nine generations of making this camera um. And that's particularly embodied in in this new device. So when uh tech companies launch a new product, they typically have like launch events.

Last year's, for example, gopro's launch event, was at a water park. It's like you could test out the product and stuff, but it was also like a fun day at a water park, but we're in the midst of a global pandemic so like can't have any fun events. So what do they do? The gopro dune buggy come on now. The assumption here is that the uh remote control car is to test out the image stabilization on this camera, but i think you know gopro's smart and i think they know that tech reviewers, like me, we're just all big nerds and we're total suckers for remote control.

Dune buggies nice one gopro all right so uh trying to pay attention how good the stabilization is, i'm not doing any any stabilizing in post here everything you see is in camera. Okay. Oh, i put so much effort into my videos and the cinematography and all that and you do like five million views, a video, it's just you sitting and talking to camera. Do you even even own a gopro? What is that thing stand up so did they do it in a world where there's like a lot of good enough options? Do you need the best? If this wide angle, lens video camera on my cell phone is a cheeseburger? Do you need the steak if the old uh honda civic works, uh works well enough to get you tuned from where you need to go? Do you need a lambo? Yes, gopro made the best camera they've ever made.
I didn't get into the fact that it has interchangeable lenses. It's incredible! It's it's perfect in every way, but whether or not you need to shell out the 450 bucks to get. It is entirely up to whether or not there's a marketplace for excellent when the world is saturated, with with good enough. That's a remote-controlled car you want to play with it.

You.

It's exactly one year later. The pandemic is still flyin' around everywhere, and GoPro has just introduced the Hero 10.
Your question at the end of this video is more relevant now than ever.
But I think those who want an action camera with upgraded cinematic capabilities will find the 10 worth it.
As for me, I'll stick with my 7 Black.

I like your serious question on why do we need this GoPro 9 camera. Most of us are techy type people that like the latest and greatest of our hobby toys. I currently dont have any of these GoPro cameras and other reviews say there are some bugs in the GoPro 9, but there are also revision updates that came out for the camera so I am going to wait a little bit longer and also if the prices come down on the camera. Thanks for your great video and really like the RC car portion of the video and how stable the camera made it.

    take care.

Considering you're at more than 12million subscribers, is this an honest review? Or have your palms still been nicely greased?

I'm considering an upgrade from my Asako Elite V50, as i wasn't impressed. Most reviews claim the Hero 7 black is great.

I sense the 9 wouldn't be worth the upgrade $ wise, for existing GoPro owners? No doubt its better than the ASAKO i own, But ive never had the ASAKO freeze up like so so many people are claiming about the GoPros.

Marketing makes me want the GoPro; online owner complaints makes me wants to go with another brand.

    Thanks for any genuine info!

Every GoPro I have ever owned has died. Currently my GoPro 7 has been at Geek Squad where they are deciding what kind of warranty I should get. So I don't have a GoPro right now even though I bought one. The Geek squad warranty is three years so I have never made it to the end. Not sure if I am leaving the system or what right now. Had the mic adapter die on the 6 as I was leaving for Africa on a trip of a lifetime. Not pissed just disappointed.

My gopro hero 9 night footage while walling comes out to be very shaky. Can you suggest some settings to avoid that shakiness while walking at night?

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ambience Entertainment Productions says:

The GoPro 9 has been featured in a lot of videos on YouTube and almost all of them discuss how laggy and not responsive the back screen is. Do you find this to be the case as well?

The camera is also said to freeze and shut down by itself in a low-temperature environment, have you ever experienced these problems yourself?

If people stopped for a moment and realized the amount of work and dedication that went into this 6 minutes and 56 seconds they would be awestruck. I sure am. I haven't even gotten to the creativity aspect. Genius.
